Learning Outcomes

1. Systematically and critically evaluate a substantial body of research-related knowledge relevant to their area of professional practice
2. Conceive, synthesise and implement a research investigation into a genuine performance issue within their own domain, making use of appropriate methodologies and related knowledge
3. Consider ethical and professional issues that might affect research into their identified performance issue and design a methodology that satisfies ethical and professional standards of research.
4. Collect data via appropriate means and accurately record, interpret and report findings in an appropriate manner that addresses the research question or aim.
5. Interpret new knowledge through original research or advanced scholarship of a quality to satisfy peer review and extend the forefront of current theory and professional practice
6. Effectively communicate and defend research findings in a manner appropriate to academic and non-academic audiences through the production of a written thesis and an oral examination.
