Description

The purpose of this module is to provide students with the basic skills needed to interpret geographical data and information and to develop accurate communication skills.

Learning Outcomes

1. Access, explore and acquire geographical data
2. Input, manipulate and analyse data and produce basic statistical analysis, graphs and maps in Microsoft Excel
3. Interpret, display and accurately report on geographic data and information
4. Develop accurate essay/report writing skills and the presentation of an academic bibliography, using the Harvard Referencing System
5. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing and present different geographical viewpoints via group discussions/activities
