Description

This module provides the opportunity for students to engage in depth with an issue of professional and intellectual interest with respect to the field of guidance and counselling. Students, as a result of engaging in research under supervision, will have an opportunity to demonstrate how research contributes to the development of knowledge.

Learning Outcomes

1. Conduct a literature review pertinent to their chosen topic.
2. Select an appropiate methodolgy for the dissertation
3. Collect data by using appropiate research methods
4. Carry out an analysis of collated data and present the findings
5. Establish conclusions and make possible recommendations arising from the research project.
6. Account for the ethical considerations and implications in carrying out research.
