Description The purpose of this module is to provide an overview of the various innovative technologies in computing. There will be seminars on innovative technologies being researched activities by lecturers and researchers in the School of Computing and other Schools. Students are expected to participate in a variety of innovative teaching approaches and activities throughout the semester and will apply knowledge gained in a variety of formats. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Explain innovative technologies being researched in the university and industry. 2. Produce an output in a group the shows their understanding of innovative and disruptive technologies. 3. Evaluate the societal, personal and psychological impacts of innovative and disruptive technologies. 4. Analyse the potential impact of innovative and disruptive technologies. 5. Develop an artefact that demonstrates an understanding of innovative and disruptive technologies. 6. Demonstrate an understanding of the technical aspect of innovative technologies being researched in the university and industry. 7. Evaluate the different types of collaborative situations, and the role of technology in facilitating effective co-operation. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
