Description
This module introduces students to the analysis of gender, and how gender matters for the nation state, capitalism economy, the labour market, colonialism and racism, international politics, social reproduction and relations at large. The module covers different topics and issues with a specific focus on how gender regimes historically have bridled sexuality, and how this process has happened in different parts of the world, structuring power relations between nations and peoples.

1. 1) Understand what are gender and gender regimes, and why they matter
2) Analyse political events and processes from a gendered perspective
3) Assess the gender impact of political choices and identify possible gender-based discrimination
