Description This module aims to provide students with a basic knowledge of the major theories and research in the field of health psychology and to introduce the student to the ways in which biopsychosocial processes can influence health and illness. Students will be familiarised with the theories, models and core areas of health psychology, including changing health behaviours, stress and coping, health- and illness-related cognitions, adherence and psychosocial impacts of illness. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
