Description The overall objective of the module is to provide students with skills that will enable them to become autonomous learners, to increase language proficiency, to facilitate their use of different registers of language in written and oral production and to gain an insight into sociocultural adaptation issues. This module is conducted through French. Throughout the year, students will perform individual and collaborative tasks to develop their confidence and competence in spoken and written production as well as spontaneous interaction in the target language. They will moreover develop digital literacies that will help them source and critically evaluate information about French speaking cultures and produce spoken and written texts and digital artefacts directed to a Francophone audience, as well as lifelong language learning strategies. The module consolidates and expands the student's awareness and knowledge of the key issues in contemporary France and also consolidates transferable skills such as teamwork and communication skills through a variety of activities and assignments. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
