Description This module aims to develop students analytical and policy-relevant knowledge and skils for studying statehood and recognition in world politics. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. 1) To help students understand the theory and practice of statehood and recognition in the international system. 2. 2) To explore and discuss a broad range of case studies of territorial conflicts, contested statehood, and transnational disputes. 3. 3) To advance students' critical abilities to understand diplomatic practices of states in the international system. 4. 4) To develop analytical and policy-relevant skills for assessing and identifying solutions for resolving statehood-related disputes in world politics. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
