Description

This module provides students with an introduction to the simulation of batch bioprocesses using Berkeley Madonna.

Learning Outcomes

1. Formulate mass balances for batch bioprocessing systems
2. Implement numerical methods for the solution of ordinary differential equations
3. Write Berkeley Madonna Code for simulating batch systems
4. Conduct numerical experiments with Berkeley Madonna
5. Fit a model to experimental data using Berkeley Madonna
6. Extract simulation data from Berkeley Madonna and import it into Word and Excel
