Description

This practical module will cover the key skills in large-scale human genomic data analysis.

Learning Outcomes

1. Access and extract data from genomic databases
2. Run bioinformatic software on Linux
3. Understand and implement appropriate data quality control prior to analysing human genomic data
4. Statistically assess the influence of genomic variation on human traits through genome-wide association studies
5. Perform meta-analysis of genetic association studies
6. Identify variation in human next generation sequencing data
7. Prepare and assess high-throughput molecular data
