Description

This module provides a framework for students to develop a critical theoretical awareness of media practice within a broader multimedia environment and provides the analytical, reflexive, and scholarly overviews necessary for students to grasp issues as they relate to the political economy, creative industries, and practice based/led research. Students through lectures, reading and writing will utilise and explore digital technologies in order to investigate their objects of study.

Learning Outcomes

1. Develop knowledge in key theories of relevance to multimedia and the creative and cultural industries.
2. Develop a competency in understanding the interlinked relationship between theory and multimedia practice.
3. Demonstrate a competency in the understanding of praxis.
