Description

This module will expand on the Educational Applications of Multimedia module. An Educational Entrepreneurial Approach will be taken in this module to guide practitioner-researchers as they embrace digital technology to resolve an identified need in a workplace context. Participants will further develop knowledge and understanding of design theories and theories of learning and gain practical knowledge and skills in the use of video pre-production, production and post-production through a project based learning approach. Participants are expected to critically engage in peer-evaluation of work.

Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate core concepts for multimedia design.
2. Develop a storyboard of your idea.
3. Create multimedia content for work context.
4. Present a suitable 'pitch'.
5. Appreciate emotional response created by visual representations.
6. Demonstrate capacity to evaluate your work and engage in peer evaluation.
7. Carry out independent research using primary and secondary text and visual materials.
