Sa mhodúl seo, déanfar staidéar ar dhéaglitríocht chomhaimseartha na Gaeilge. Scrúdófar an comhthéacs ina gcruthaítear saothair i nGaeilge do dhéagóirí agus déanfar iniúchadh ar na spriocléitheoirí agus ar a ndearcthaí féin ar an déaglitríocht. Déanfar mionscrúdú ar shaothair prós-scríbhneoirí áirithe, mar shampla, Seán Mac Mathúna, Máire Uí Dhufaigh, Anna Heussaff, Áine Ní Ghlinn agus Ógie Ó Céilleachair. Déanfar iniúchadh ar mhodhanna inste, ar luachanna aeistéitiúla na saothar, agus ar na hidé-eolaíochtaí atá taobh thiar díobh. I rith an tseimeastair, cruthóidh na mic léinn punann dá gcuid scríbhneoireachta cruthaithí féin a bheidh dírithe ar dhéagóirí. / In this module, students will study modern Irish-language literature which is aimed at teenagers. The context in which these texts are created and published will be examined, and the opinions and attitudes of the target readership will be explored. The works of contemporary writers such as Seán Mac Mathúna, Máire Uí Dhufaigh, Anna Heussaff, Áine Ní Ghlinn and Ógie Ó Céilleachair will be examined. Narrative modes, aesthetic values and ideologies will be explored in these works, as well as the educational functions of these texts in the context of the secondary-school classroom. During the semester, the students will put together a portfolio of their own creative work aimed at teenagers.

1. Tuiscint a léiriú ar chomhthéacs na déaglitríochta i nGaeilge / Demonstrate an understanding of the context in which Irish-language literature for teenagers is written.
2. Anailís dhomhain a dhéanamh ar théacsanna éagsúla atá dírithe ar dhéagóirí / Analyse various texts that are aimed at teenagers.
3. Staidéar a dhéanamh ar fheidhmeanna oideachasúla na dtéacsanna i gcomhthéacs na meánscoile / Evaluate the educational functions of these texts in the secondary-school context.
4. Mionscrúdú a dhéanamh ar theicnící agus stíleanna scríbhneoireachta / Examine writing techniques and styles.
5. Téacsanna cruthaitheacha dírithe ar dhéagóirí a chumadh / Compose creative texts aimed at teenagers.
6. Scileanna scríbhneoireachta a fhorbairt agus a fheabhsú / Develop and improve writing skills.
