Description This module provides participants with insight and understanding of the range of business challenges facing organisations in their local and global context, and of the different strategies adopted in response. Participants engage in a residential weekend involving multiple site visits to a variety of organisations, to be directly exposed to a range of management and leadership practices for sustainable and responsible business. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Field trip to understand the nature of sustainable strategic thinking and responsible leadership in business practices 2. Understand common challenges in managing responsibly, sustainably and effectively 3. Interpret and evaluate the role of the manager in responding to organisational challenges 4. Understand how different functional areas of business integrate and impact the organisation 5. Reflect on the effectiveness and nature of some of their current business practices 6.
