Description

This module introduces more advanced aspects of web design. Students wil gain an understanding of semantic markup, CSS3, and including Javascript in web pages. Students will also gain an appreciation of reusable components, user experience and accessibility.

Learning Outcomes

1. Understand the role of HTML in the creation of web-based user interfaces
2. Understand the role of CSS3 in the creation of web-based user interfaces
3. Apply problem-solving techniques to the design and creation of well-structured web pages.
4. Become familiar with the concepts of user experience
5. Gain an understanding of designing with accessibility in mind.
6. Develop an understanding of the process of creating a component-based web page through individual and/or team-based projects.
