Description

This module enables nurses, midwives, medics and allied health professionals within public, private and voluntary services to develop their clinical role in order to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene and evaluate care in response to the symptoms experienced by patients during the rehabilitation period post Covid-19 infection. This module enables the participants to apply their knowledge, skills and understanding of specialist theory and apply to the patient’s care/needs. This course will require the participants to demonstrate competence in this area.

Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate general knowledge, skills and understanding of available theory on post Covid 19 symptoms in response to patient care needs;
2. Undertake a comprehensive health history from a patient and critically analyse including assessment details in the context of the existing evidence base to inform practice in a variety of clinical contexts;
3. Use evidence based tools and related theories to guide nursing practice in response to this new condition;
4. Demonstrate interdisciplinary relationships with stakeholders in the delivery of patient care, safety, and quality clinical care delivery;
5. Utilise optimum communication skills when interacting with patients to inform clinical decisions;
