Description

This dynamic first-year module equips psychology students with essential skills for academic success and future career readiness. Through online activities and interactive workshops students will develop academic and life skills, take their first steps in career visionning, practise intercultural competence and learn how to prepare for assignments and exams.

Learning Outcomes

1. Identify and reflect upon one's personal attributes
2. Demonstrate knowledge of strategies that support resilience and adaptability
3. Understand and demonstrate a growth mindset when engaging with challenges and opportunities
4. Demonstrate the ability to make informed decisions to facilitate adapting to change
5. Reflect on past experiences, both successes and failures, and extract useful insights
6. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of one’s own and others’ cultural values
7. Demonstrate understanding of diverse cultural practices
8. Recognise the value of and engage with cultural diversity
9. Demonstrate awareness of the causes and possible solutions to conflicts that arise in cross-cultural interactions
