Module Aims
  • to introduce the concept of global culture and consider its relevance to our modern cultural experience.
  • to analyse modes of international interaction between cultures and the potential benefits and problems arising out of it.
  • to identify and account for national varieties of response to international cultural forces.


Learning Outcomes
  • a deeper understanding of the processes of modern global culture.
  • recognition of the importance of foreign cultural influences in our social and cultural experience.
  • appreciation of the individuality and universality of cultural traditions engaged in international dialogue.
