|
7 To provide students with a knowledge of various mathematical methods used in science and engineering courses. The teach students to be proficient in using these solution methods.

Indicative Syllabus
|
· Differentiation: Limits, continuity, partial differentiation, chain rule, gradient, divergence, curl.
· Integration: Line integrals, surface integrals, volume integrals, integral theorems. Change of variable formula.
· Maxima and minima: Critical points, lagrange multiplier, Taylor's formula.
