Module Aims
|
The aim of this module is to promote the students understanding of sociology by applying the concepts developed in the Introductory to Sociology module to sport.
|
Learning Outcomes
|
On completion of this module it is intended that the student will be able to:
- Relate concepts to the sociology of sport.
- Distinguish the historical and contemporary perspectives on sport.
- Analyse the concepts of deviance, social stratification and gender within the context of sport.
