This module will introduce students to the core concepts that underpin nursing care in various settings and will introduce students to their branch of nursing.

Learning Outcomes

1. Examine the core perspectives that apply to nursing.
2. Discuss the concept of health.
3. Discuss the concept of illness.
4. Describe the common features of nursing models.
5. Explain the stages of the nursing process.
6. Examine the fundamental concepts that underpin your branch of nursing.
