Description

The purpose of this module is to provide the student with the knowledge, skills and understanding essential for the effective understanding and analysis of human movement in the physical education context. The focus will be practical, experience being gained and expertise being developed in the observation and analysis of activities. This module will underpin the practical work involved in the course.

Learning Outcomes

1. Explain gross/fine structure of the human body and human movement.
2. Describe human movement using effective terminology.
3. Identify and modify the constraints influencing the emergence of the motor coordination.
4. Identify and correct errors in fundamental motor skill performance.
5. Explain the role of memory in the learning process of a new motor skill.
6. Differentiate the different scientific perspectives of the motor learning process.
