This course is designed to provide students with models and theories which are useful in explaining the structures, functioning, behaviour and performance of organisations and to make them aware of the application of these in practice The course will draw on material from the literature on Organisation Theory and Development, relevant case and research studies and the students own experiences

Learning Outcomes

1. Explain the structures, functioning, behaviour and performance of organisations
2. discuss how the structures, functioning , behaviour and performance of organisations operate in practice
3. Analyse and make recommendations for organisations on their structures, functioning , behaviour and performance
