Description

Students will be required to carry out a body of novel and independent research related to the fields of Physical Education, Education or Biology/Maths. The topic and structure of this research will be negotiated and designed with an assigned tutor/supervisor.

Learning Outcomes

1. Design and carry out research experiments or projects in the laboratory or field.
2. Collect, record, process and analyse data using appropriate qualitative or quantitative techniques
3. Use information sources (archives, library, online databases etc) appropriately, and work independently and as part of a research team.
4. Communicate research findings with peers, supervisor and a second examiner clearly and concisely through written and oral means.
5. Critically analyse and interpret data, and identify future directions for research in their area.
6. Demonstrate time management skills necessary to complete the research project within given time constraints.
