Description

Student will learn how to conduct a scientific literature search, how to structure and reference scientific writing, and how to verbally communicate scientific information.

Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate the ability to access relevant up-to-date, scientific information from the primary literature, collate the information and write an overview of the subject chosen.
2. Use printed and electronic primary and secondary sources to access information on a given research area.
3. Extract appropriate relevant information from selected journal articles and communicate its relative importance.
4. Collate scientific information and write a comprehensive review on a given subject from the fields of physical Education, Education or Biology.
5. Demonstrate scientific writing skills and the ability to critically analyse and interpret research material.
6. Demonstrate oral and written communication skills in presenting and discussing their literature review with peers and supervisors.
