Description This course develops students' understanding of cognitive and social psychology and organisational theory, as they apply to the design and use of interactive systems. The course enables students to use the resulting knowledge, in conjunction with the tools and procedures learned in HS1, to understand users' needs, develop prototype interactive systems and evaluate those systems. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Evaluate interaction design using research on human information processing. 2. Discuss emotional aspects of the user experience 3. Assess the impact of computer mediation on social and organisational processes 4. Explain, using examples, the psychological processes involved in organizing, including group processes, helping, impression formation, and influence. 5. Evaluate research on how IxD mediates organisational practice. 6. Work in teams with classmates online. 7.
