Description This module introduces students to the fields of biotechnology and bioprocessing. The difference between these disciplines is explained and the key skills required to be a biotechnologist and/ore a bioprocessing specialist are explained. The emphasis is on active learning and project work done individually and in teams. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Describe the role of bioprocess engineering in biotechnology and bioprocessing 2. Describe the role of design, modelling and simulation in bioprocessing 3. Research a topic related to biotechnology or bioprocessing 4. Present orally on a topic related to biotechnology or bioprocessing 5.
