Description
This module will focus on language awareness. Students will develop a knowledge of specific linguistic aspects of Irish, eg. Grammar, spelling and phonics in Irish. They will develop an understanding of an inductive approach to the teaching of grammar to meet the challenges of lack of accuracy in all-Irish schools. There will be a focus on the most common inaccuracies. The teaching of minority languages in an international context will be investigated.
