Description

To introduce the students to the main criteria in selecting and carrying out a project linking science with education To select a scientific topic/area of interest and to investigate it fully To develop the students understanding and awareness of research tools

Learning Outcomes

1. Identify common student difficulties in chemistry and physics as they occur at second level and third level.
2. Evaluate science education literature on student difficulties
3. Evaluate the usefulness of a variety of educational strategies/materials
4. Develop educational materials to tackle identified student difficulties through an active learning method
5. Report on the implementation and impact of educational strategies/materials
