Description This module aims to introduce students to the main criteria in selecting and carrying out a project linking science with education; to select a scientific topic/area of interest and to investigate it fully; and to develop the students' understanding and awareness of research tools | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Develop suitable investigative questions that can be tackled e.g. in the classroom laboratory 2. Carry out appropriate background reading in the literature to inform a research question or to identify student difficulties 3. Develop and implement laboratory experiments to address a research question 4. Examine experimental results critically to draw conclusions and inform further work 5.
