This module provides students with a strong grounding in one half of Equity's contribution to the legal system, namely, equitable remedies. The other great contribution, the trust, in covered in LG351 Trusts Law.

Learning Outcomes

1. describe and outline the distinction between the common law and equity
2. Appreciate the contribution of equity to the development of remedies different to the common law
3. understand the rules and principles applicable to different equitable remedies
4. Apply the law to factual situations and construct an effective argument
