Description The core module of this programme is the 15 credit module, Management of Internet Systems. This module is taken in year 2. Successful completion of this module will enable you to confidently manage internet systems in the knowledge of their technology, architecture, protocols and contemporary applications. This module consists of three elements (Internet Technologies, Internet Systems Infrastructure and Internet Applications) with one assignment per element | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Identify and describe the architecture of the data communications technologies in terms of concepts, protocols and technologies. 2. Evaluate the network environment with recommended hardware and software appropriate to the application. 3. Determine appropriate protection strategies and technologies in managing security issues in terms of applications within Networks. 4. Design and manage networks based on the latest network technologies, infrastructure and operating systems 5. Design and manage the implementation of a web presence in terms of hardware, software, security, transaction and technology within regulatory boundaries 6. Evaluate web platforms and solution acquisition 7. Differentiate key solutions and application models 8. Assess the applications and solutions in E-Commerce systems and their impact on business process within regulatory boundaries. 9.
