Description

Students will design and execute a piece of novel and independent research related to the various pillars of sport and exercise science. The topic and structure of this research project will be negotiated and designed with an assigned supervisor.

Learning Outcomes

1. To design and execute a research project using appropriate methodology
2. to complete a project proposal coupled with an application for approval for a research project by a Research Ethics Committee
3. to critically evaluate, synthesise, and present a comprehensive summary of the existing scientific literature pertinent to a research question
4. to integrate data and interpret findings in the context of existing scientific literature
5. to present, interpret and discuss results from a research project
