Description

In a media environment, increasingly dominated by digital media equipment and formats, students need to quickly familiarise themselves with ever changing technologies and concepts. This module aims to give a good grounding in how to use digital media equipment and how to understand digital media concepts to help prepare the student for specialised production in years 2 and 3.

Learning Outcomes

1. Capture media with a video camera, photo camera and audio recorder
2. Login, open multimedia programs and perform basic edits using a Macintosh computer
3. Understand basic multimedia terminologies and concepts
4. Rename and hand up digital files onto a computer network
