Learning Outcomes 1. Understand basic atomic theory 2. Explain chemical bonding 3. Perform calculations using moles, concentrations and dilutions 4. Explore acids, bases, buffers and pH 5. Draw simple organic compounds 6. Know the functional groups and reactions of the main organic families 7. Understand chiral molecules 8. Describe the following major groups of biomolecules, their structures and chemical behaviour - carbohydrates, lipids and proteins 9.
