Module Aims
|
To describe the research process and the different approaches to conducting research.
To provide students with a framework for critiquing research reports

Learning Outcomes
|
On completion of this module, and following a period of personal study, students will be able to:
Discuss the importance of research to nursing practice.
Discuss the difference between qualitative and quantitative methods.
Show skills in literature retrieval and critically reviewing literature.
Demonstrate an understanding of the research process.
Identify the main methods of data collection.
Discuss the ethical issues related to research in clinical areas.
