Module Aims

To develop competence in practice highly specialised written tasks in the target language
To achieve a high degree of fluency, accuracy and range of expression in written production in the target language
To communicate in writing with ease and confidence in a range of professional and social situations

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to critically analyse and respond to a variety of written texts (e.g. specialised correspondence)
Students will be able to produce - as if for public consumption - various kinds of texts (e.g. questionnaires, short articles, reports, abstracts, book reviews etc.)
Students will be able to present in writing arguments on complex matters
