Description To provide the student with an understanding of modelling and analysis techniques for random and deterministic signals. To provide the student with an understanding of basic probability and random processes in relation to signals. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Derive and calculate an expression for the frequency response of a LTI system. 2. Simulate and measure frequency responses. 3. Calculation and determination of the frequency response of discrete-time systems. 4. Perform Fourier analysis of discrete-time signals and systems. 5. Compute the time domain response of discrete systems using z-domain analysis 6. Apply Bayes Theorem. 7. Perform operations on random variables such as calculation of the expectation and the variance. 8. Calculation and utilization of autocorrelation functions of random processes. 9.
