Description

To provide the student with an understanding of modelling and analysis techniques for random and deterministic signals.To provide the student with an understanding of basic probability in relation to signals.

Learning Outcomes

1. Derive and calculate an expression for the frequency response of a LTI system.
2. Simulate frequency responses.
3. Perform Fourier analysis of discrete-time signals and systems.
4. Compute the time domain response of discrete systems using z-domain analysis
5. Introduction to probability in relation to signals and systems
