Module Aims
|
This module will provide you with an introduction to various authoring tools. Through a number of workshop sessions you will develop the technical skills to construct web based multimedia artefacts eg.using iMovie, Photoshop, Pro-tools, Studio 8, Captivate. You will learn how to select and evaluate the most appropriate technologies for education and training. Ongoing discussions will take place through Moodle Online Learning Environment.

Indicative Syllabus
|
Design and development of learning artefact for use in your work context. Use of various media in teaching and learning. Examination of use of video, animation, audio, graphics and simulation in teaching and learning.
Assessment
The collaborative approach involves tutor, peer group and multimedia specialists. Assessment reflects the collaborative and interactive approach of the module. Assessment involves the development of multimedia web-based artefact, learning journals, collaborative online activity and self-assessment.
