·        Enhance knowledge and understanding of research designs

·        Develop critical analysis of research designs.

Develop critical skills in literature reviewing  



Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module  and following a period of personal study the student will be able to:

·        Demonstrate understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods

·        Demonstrate ability to critique research designs

·        Demonstrate and understanding methodological rigour

·        Demonstrate understanding and application of the principles of literature reviewing

·        Show understanding of the principles of reporting and disseminating research findings

·        Evaluate research utilisation and application in everyday nursing practice
