Description
To introduce the student to a range of types of translation, with a view to providing a basic understanding of general translation practice.

Learning Outcomes
1. Translate short newspaper articles from Japanese into English 2. Use appropriate background documentation, relevant to the task of translation (eg dictionaries) 3. Generate electronic glossaries using on-line resources 4. Write grammatically correct, natural English texts
